James “Jim” Zagres is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly 20 years of counseling experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and build more fulfilling lives. He works with clients experiencing substance use disorders, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, LGBTQ+ issues, and end-of-life transitions.

Jim understands that life can be both rewarding and difficult, and he believes that during challenging times, having a compassionate and knowledgeable therapist can make a meaningful difference.

Jim takes a collaborative, client-centered approach to therapy, believing that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of effective therapy. He strives to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Jim partners with clients to develop personalized treatment plans based on their unique goals, strengths, and experiences. His work often incorporates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while remaining flexible to meet each client’s individual needs.
