Jeannie Jones

Jeannie is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has spent the last 10 years in the mental health and substance abuse field. Jeannie earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Master’s Degrees in Mental Health Counseling from Palm Beach Atlantic University. Jeannie has extensive training with dual diagnoses treatment through behavioral health hospitals and Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP). During this time she was certified trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Equine Therapy (EAGALA), and Crisis Prevention Interventions (CPI). Jeannie has provided clinical care to a variety of populations and demographics ensuring individualized care and treatment needs. In 2016 Jeannie began extending her expertise in the field currently completing first year Doctoral studies for Clinical Psychology (PhD.) with emphasis in Trauma, being awarded for Outstanding Research for Trauma Issues. Jeannie has previously held positions in the mental health field which include: Interim Clinical Director (PHP) Port St. Lucie Hospital, Clinical Director at Coastal Detox and Dream Center for Recovery, facilitated trainings for Trauma Informed Care and De-escalation Training, volunteer Trauma/PTSD group facilitator for Veteran’s, developed Family Intensive Treatment (FIT) program for failure to launch issues in young adults, developed various addiction treatment programs for mental health agencies.
